Cooperativas Agro-alimentarias de España is the organisation that represents the agri-food cooperative movement before national and European bodies, institutions and associations related to the agri-food sector and the social economy.
Our MISSION is "To promote, represent and structure the Spanish agri-food cooperative movement, promoting a business cooperative model, professionalised, with a relevant dimension, generating value and competitive, which contributes to improving the profitability of member farmers and livestock farmers and to the sustainable development of the agri-food sector and the rural environment".
Cooperativas Agroalimentarias de España is made up of the regional federations and unions of cooperatives that carry out their representative activity and provide services within the scope of each Autonomous Community. SEE FEDERATIONS
Cooperativas Agro-alimentarias de España is the organisation that represents more than 3,600 agricultural cooperatives, with a turnover of 38,428 million euros and more than one million members throughout Spain and in practically all the agri-food sectors.
Furthermore, agri-food cooperatives directly employ 123,700 people, most of them in rural areas, which makes them a real economic, social and cultural driving force in the least populated areas of our country.
